The Official World Record Challenge, initiated by the People’s Government of Gonghe County, Hainan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province, China, organized a total of 626 participants who simultaneously performed a traditional Tibetan Dranyen singing and playing performance by the shores of Qinghai Lake. Verified by World Record Certification, the event successfully set the world record for the “Largest Tibetan Dranyen Singing and Playing Performance.”

Held against the breathtaking backdrop of Qinghai Lake, one of China’s most iconic natural landscapes, the event showcased the unique charm of Tibetan traditional culture and the enduring heritage of the Dranyen, a traditional Tibetan string instrument with a history spanning centuries. Hundreds of participants gathered together, creating a powerful and harmonious performance that combined music, singing, and cultural expression.

The successful record achievement highlights Gonghe County’s commitment to preserving and promoting Tibetan intangible cultural heritage while bringing greater global attention to the rich traditions of the Qinghai-Tibet region.
