On December 30, 2024, the Tianshan Shengli Tunnel was successfully opened in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, China. The tunnel is the “throat” project of the G0711 Urumqi-Yuli Expressway, which will be 22.1 kilometers long after its completion and after its completion, the journey across the Tianshan Mountains will be shortened from 3 hours to about 20 minutes. Verified by the WRCA, it has been confirmed as the “Longest Highway Tunnel”.
