Greenland (an autonomous territory of Denmark) is located in the northeastern part of North America, at the junction of North America and Europe, surrounded by the Arctic Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean (geographic coordinates: 59°49’N to 83°39’N). With a regular shape, it stretches approximately 2,700 kilometers from north to south and 1,000 kilometers from east to west, covering a total area of about 2.166 million square kilometers.
